McGillivray Staging Area is located north of Highway 3 and is an excellent access point for the many trails. Travel west on Hwy 3 through Coleman, turning north on 61St. and then 23 Ave. Follow this road for approx 2 km and you will arrive at McGillivray. Random camping is allowed at the staging area. Please remember to purchase your random camping pass.
One of our main trails from McGillivray is the Spoon Valley Loop. This trail goes northeast from the staging area, loops around Crowsnest Mountain, coming back by the Atlas Staging Area and returning to McGillivray on a connector pipeline trail. This trail is a novice to intermediate trail.
