Indian Graves Staging Area

The Indian Graves staging area is accessed west of Hwy 22 by Hwy 532 at the northern end of Chain Lakes.  There are now only 4 signed areas to random camp in the area along 532.  Camping along the Willow Creek valley is no longer permitted.  Only OHV with a weight not exceeding 800 lbs are permitted in the Willow Creek recreation Management Area.

Details

Indian Graves has a small PRA campsite of the same name that does not allow ATVs within the boundary.  There is an 800lbs dry weight limit on OHVs in the immediate area eliminating trucks and even the side-by-sides (Rhino, Ranger, etc).

Vehicle travel further west on Hwy 532 to Hwy 40 FTR involves a very long and steep hill with a rocky summit and should be carefully considered before attempting by RVs or larger units.  See the CNPQS ATV C5 area Trail map for area trails. Selected trails in the area can be very steep, rocky and rutted, while wet and soft areas should be avoided if possible and entered with caution.  On the N-S cut line there is wreckage of a airplane to be found.  The Willow creek valley is a relatively flat trail for beginners.  The IG lookout ride is spectacular but not for beginners.
